Penjo Privacy Policy
PENJO is available for iPad, iPhone, Vision Pro and Mac.

Penjo needs access to calendar if you decide to add Apple Calendar events list, needs location information if you decide to add or edit an Apple Calendar event or add/edit a map card, contacts if you decide to view details of the Apple Calendar event, shared photos if you decide to insert photos from the photos library, and finally disk access if you want to export PDF to a folder you select. Otherwise, Penjo does not access any personal information. All accessed personal information data is used for that session and stored locally in application's folder.
Diagnostics Information
If you opt-in for sharing diagnostics information, we collect the crash information to fix the problems and improve the performance of the app. The crash information is not associated with any identity.
Anonymous Analytics
Penjo starting from version 2.9.10 (except the visionOS app) may collect non-personal usage data to improve user experience, detect glitches and develop new features. With an option to opt-out (available on main settings window), Penjo uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect events such as screen view counts, adding journals (without names), shapes, textboxes (without content), images (without content), map cards (without location), clicks to Export To PDF buttons, purchase buttons, setting reminders (without configurations) , enabling iCloud, global authorization, journal based authorization, setting a journal for favorite widget (without which journal to choose), status if a journal is called from widget, if long press is used for navigation, if button for back and forth is used, if swipe to navigation is used, if a new event (without event details), if event list is added to the day sheet (without event details), if context menu is used, if user has purchased version, if a review request is shown, if user drag&dropped text or images to Penjo (without text or image details), if selection is used, if new multi-sheet added or multi-sheet switcher is used, if user switched to custom tool picker, used copy / move sheets, set default font, or opened a URL (without the URL content) together with non-identifying information such as OS version, device model, language and non-granular location information.
For all privacy and terms of use related issues for Firebase Analytics , corresponding Google's Privacy Policy applies.
iCloud Sync
As an optional feature, the user may sync his/her journals and related data to his/her private iCloud. For all privacy and terms of use related issues, Apple's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy applies.
Penjo never collects any personal information and never shares any personal data with me or with any other 3rd parties (for iCloud Sync, the policy mentioned above applies).
Text Recognition
Starting with version 3.0, Penjo has on-device text recognition feature. Text recognition processing is performed completely on user's device and no data is transferred to any external server or device for processing.
